Data and an analogue clock – a brilliant combination!
I’m especially delighted that I can finally wear my analogue watch again without losing any of my data!! You can use the app to set your other wearable as your primary device again, and it’ll then transfer the data over. I’m really pleased with it!!

Easy-to-use tool
Comfortable strap, lighter than watches, lots of information
Pros & Cons
3 / 5
Great hope and confidence that things will get better
I kept a close eye on this new arrival: ‘I want that one’, and with Garmin as the ‘brand’, it can’t go wrong. No subscription; just manage it yourself. It’s been a bit of a let-down for me. As a cyclist, I use the Epix Gen 2 and Karroo for my rides. I was missing a ‘device’ for use outside of exercise that still tracks sleep and HRV (I don’t have a ‘bulky watch’ at home or at work). Heart rate and sleep tracking work perfectly. With the ‘automatic activity detection’ feature, it’s definitely failed at least five times whilst biking. (Six out of ten auto-detected sports are bike-related.) Incidentally, this is currently a known issue with Garmin. So, for the time being, no records of my bike rides for me. I still need to be sure about the Epix. Why 3* and not 1? I have an enormous amount of confidence in ‘the Garmin brand’. This will work out fine. Just need to wait a little longer :-)
